Tänään olenkin keskittynyt DUDE -videon tekemiseen ihan sataprosenttisesti. Erään DUDE -osallistujan haastattelu on editoitu julkaisukelpoiseksi. Ja tällä hetkellä työstän videon haastatteluosuuteen grafiikkaa ja animaatiota. Minun visioni tästä on sellainen, että jokainen haastattelukysymys tulee näkyviin erilliselle tekstiruudulle ennen videoklippiä. Ja tarkoitus olisi animoida haastattelukysymyksen teksti niin että se häviää ruudulta näkymättömiin siistin näköisesti. Käytän animaation tekemiseen Adobe After Effects ohjelmaa.

Periaatteessa voisin käyttää animointiin myös Photoshoppia ja olen tehnytkin niin joskus. Mm. DUDE -logosta tehdyt gif-animaatiot tein Photoshopilla. Mutta After Effectsillä tää on vaan paljon helpompaa ja nopeampaa kun vain tietää mitä tekee. Alla esikatselu tekemästäni animaatiosta. Huom! Animaatiota ei ole vielä renderöity, joten siksi se näyttää tässä esikatselussa vähän siltä kuin se lagaisi.

Today I have fully immersed myself in making of the DUDE introduction video. The interview of one DUDE participant has been edited to a publishable state. Currently I'm making some graphics and animation for the interview part of the video. My vision of this interview is that each question comes on screen as a separate text element before the video clip. My goal is also to animate the text in each screen so, that it disappears from the screen cleanly after a short wile. I'm using Adobe After Effects for making the animation.

I could also use Photoshop for that and in fact I have animated with Photoshop too sometimes. For example, the various GIF -animations of the DUDE logo were created with Photoshop. But with After Effects it's just faster and easier to animate something, as long as you know what you're doing. Below is a preview of the animation I made. Please keep in mind that the animation hasn't been rendered yet so that's why the preview is lagging.
