Työskentely verkkosivuprojektin kanssa jatkuu ja on hyvällä mallilla. Tällä kertaa muokkasin yhtä kuvaa vähän rajummin. Hain siihen vähän semmoista kyberpunk -tyylistä kasariretrotyyliä, jossa oli aika paljon visuaalisena inspiraationa elokuva Blade Runner, sekä 80-luvulle tyypilliset kirkkaat neonvalot. Tein siihen kuvaan sen tyylisen punertavan ja violetin värimaailman. Tämä visuaalinen ilme on aika silmiinpistävä ja tarkoituksellisen räväkkä, mutta mielestäni se toimii kyllä hienosti tyylikeinona jos on vaan sellainen alkuperäiskuva joka ei ole liikaa ristiriidassa muokkauksen kanssa. Jos ei firmalle tämä muokkaus kelpaa, niin sain ainakin hyvää harjoitusta Photoshopin käytössä.

Kyberpunk -värimaailma ei ole nimittäin mikään kovin helppo tehdä vaan se vaatii jo aika paljon aikaisempaa kokemusta Photoshopin käytöstä. Se työmäärä mikä tällaisen kuvanmuokkauksen tekemiseen menee on myös jo aika lailla next level kamaa. En ihan yhdessä kokonaisessa työpäivässäkään saanut sitä täysin valmiiksi. Käytännössä täytyy säätää koko sen kuvan väriskaala ja kontrasti ihan täysin uusiksi manuaalisilla värisäätimillä, tehdä siihen vielä useampi gradient layer päälle ja sitten vielä pari valmist värifiltteriä erillisinä layereina. Ehkä huomenna laitan tänne jopa vähän kuvamateriaalia tänne ihan vaan näyttääkseni miten pikkutarkkaa työtä tämä editti vaatii.

Working on the website project is back on today. It's looking quite good at the moment, I'm making a lot of progress. Today I made some heavier than normal -editing on one photo as part of this task. I'm trying to recreate a cyberpunk look for this photograph, heavily inspired by the bright neon colors of the 1980's and the movie Blade Runner. For this reason I'm using a lot of bright purple and red colors in the edit. Cyberpunk as a visual style is something that kinda stands out and really catches the eye of the viewer due to the overtly bright and saturated colors.

But it works great as a kind of stylistic device, as long as it doesn't contradict the original image file too much. If the company doesn't like this particular edit, at least I'm getting a lot more Photoshop experience from this. Because recreating a cyberpunk visual style in a photograph is not easy, you know. This kind of edit is something that really requires previous experience from using Photoshop and a good understanding of the software's more advanced features. And the amount of work that you have to put into this kind of edit is also some next level stuff. I couldn't finish it in a single work day so I have to continue tomorrow.

Basically I have to remake the images colors and contrast settings from scratch using the manual color adjustment sliders, make several gradient layers and then add a couple of pre-existing color filters to finalize the look. Perhaps tomorrow I will put some videos or photos of it in here, just to show how much heavy editing this kind of photomanipulation requires.
